Veldkamp developed a new supply system with buffer capacity for racks containing stacks of “drying crates” for a sweets manufacturer.
The customer’s system was so outdated that it needed to be replaced, and there was also no buffering option, so a forklift had to drive back and forth almost constantly.
In the new system, the racks with the stacks of crates are placed in a feed station, after which they are placed on a traverse carriage via 5 buffer stations. This traverse carriage ensures that the rack with crates can be placed in the drying oven.
The entire supply system is shielded with safety gates and doors. The feed station is protected by light curtains.
